The Flamingo Loophole was born as part of Mediterranean Hope’s project: Balkan Rope. its purpose is to be a meeting point for social cohesion, aiming to implement climbing activities for specific vulnerable target groups.
In order to start the activities targeting the purpose, MH conducted a training of trainers for Edin & Sabina, 2 Bosnians, that will be planning these climbing activity courses with the children and youth.
The training was spread over 4 weeks, for 60+ hours, during which a good part of theorywas covered concerning basic body movements, psychomotor domains and kids development.
Another important aspect tackled was managing a group and the leadership skills needed to do so.
Last but not least, managing special cases and kids with special needs, alongside difficult situations and how to deal with them.
From games to memorize the 8 knot, to belaying know-how, passing by balancing exercise, the triangle position/weight shifting, coordination drills and finally specific games targeting the development of problem-solving and planning skills.
The training was lead by a group of professionals gathered for their diverse specific expertise on the subject
